Hit by a Blizzard!

Spring has not sprung. It has been snowing for the past two days and there's no sign of it letting up. It's windy and blustery and my morning excursion (to buy internet recharge cards and water - necessities!!) will likely be my only trip outside for the day. It was not pleasant - not that I enjoy feeling trapped in the apartment; I'd much rather be outside... BUT the wind was just too much. Positive things about this weather are that it provides a very nice view from our window - everything blanketed in white and the wind whipping here and there, and the snow is much easier to walk on than frozen ice-slush... it's just the wind.

The guys won last night 3-1 in a bit of a scrappy match and though the team is still in 9th place, they are tied for points with the 8th and 7th place teams... making relegation a lot less likely. As per usual they have the day off today so... we're taking it easy. My plans for the day include yoga, some schoolwork, reading and watching The Office. Yes, very exciting. Here are a few pics from the last couple of days...

The address is painted right on to most buildings: this is ours, 16 Mendeleeva

Out for a walk, in the time of melty snow-slush

McDonalds is everywhere!
