Time is flying - I can't believe it's May! We are still in reno mode but getting closer (inching closer) to being finished. The plumbers were here today putting the main floor bathroom together, and I'm wondering when they'll move the washing machine and dryer upstairs (not that I mind it in the basement, but it will be much nicer on the main floor!). Steve worked hard to get the addition painted last week (which saved us some money) and has been busy building shelves in the new crawl space and going through the big fat mess that is our basement. Next up he gets to dig a trench to the back of the property (fun!) so the new gas line can go in for the pool heater. It's been pretty chilly here - we did have that one super warm weekend - so we haven't really been ready for pool time yet. We are getting there on the final countdown until the end of the year though! I really can't believe we have less than two months until the end of the school year. I'm happy to report that I'll be doing the same job at the same school next year, which means core French at an English public school to students in grades 4-8. This year I had three grade 7/8 classes, and I'll likely get the older kids again next year. Spring/summer sports are starting up soon here; baseball for Hendrik (which is between 2-4 times a week throughout the summer), baseball for Jordan (twice a week), and soccer for Alana (twice a week). It looks like I'll be helping out with Alana's soccer again, so Steve will be free to ferry the other two around to baseball diamonds I guess! My women's league volleyball wraps up in a few weeks but basketball has started, and that runs through the summer - at least I have one thing! Fingers are crossed that there aren't any conflicts on Tuesday nights. My parents are coming to Ontario this weekend and I am MAJORLY looking forward to seeing them. I'll have to make myself take some photos as it is a rare occasion that we get to see them! I am hoping that we'll make it out the Thetis this summer - I need to get those summer plans locked down. Hope you enjoy the last month of photos! (The first two are at one of Hendrik's volleyball teammates' house - they have sheep and chickens! These two LOVED holding the chickens...)
